Chunking

One of the challenges of conducting research is identifying the “chunks” of information that a very large topic can be broken into. For your research, identify the “big idea,” and list 4-5 (more or less) subtopics that support the “big idea.” Provide 1 or 2 sentences to describe/support each subtopic.

Videoconference with Dr. Lisa Kaplan

Dr. Lisa Kaplan will be hosting our next videoconference on Wednesday. Dr. Kaplan and I have collaborated together in the past, and she was actually interviewed by previous students in 2005. Read about it here. Please prepare questions for Dr. Kaplan. Her presentation will deal with careers in biotechnology and toxicology.
